Mahoning County is not one market but several stitched together by Route 224, I-680, I-76, and the Ohio Turnpike: the Boardman-Canfield-Austintown commercial spine, the Youngstown core, the Mahoning River mill towns of Struthers, Campbell, and Lowellville, and a genuinely rural south end through Berlin Center, Ellsworth, Beloit, and Sebring. The network and server design that fits a Boardman professional office sitting on a fiber-rich corridor is not the design that fits a Sebring fabrication shop or a township building out near the county line. Multi-site connectivity is the everyday reality here because so many county businesses run two or three locations spread across that geography: a Canfield headquarters, a Boardman storefront, a Youngstown back-office, a south-county yard or shop. We tie those sites together with site-to-site VPN or SD-WAN behind one identity layer (Active Directory or Microsoft 365), one file share, and one consistent firewall and content-filtering policy, so the desk in Lowellville behaves exactly like the desk in Canfield. Where business-class fiber thins out toward Beloit and Berlin Center, we design failover-first: a primary circuit plus an LTE/5G or Starlink backup and on-prem caching, so a single carrier outage slows nobody to a stop.
